March 2017 Reading Wrap Up
It's currently May so why not talk about what I read in March? Better late than never! I spent most of March travelling around Thailand accompanied by my trusty e-reader and a bunch of e-galleys. So between lazy beach days and fourteen hour plane journeys I ended up reading quite a lot. Let's get into the reviews...

An Honest Account of Depression | Night Shift by Debi Gliori
This week is Mental Health Awareness week in the UK and today I wanted to talk about a book that conveys the experience of depression through a beautifully illustrated metaphor. Night Shift by Debi Gliori is a picture book which cleverly and accurately portrays the experience of having depression. Through stunning monochrome illustrations and a sprinkling of text, Debi Gliori explores how depression can affect a person's entire outlook on everyday life.

Reading: Sara's Face by Melvin Burgess, written in 2006 it has been re-released by Andersen Press with a brand new cover for 2017. I loved Burgess' Junk when I was a teen so I'm excited about this one.
Watching: Buffy the Vampire Slayer - I watched Buffy when I was young and rewatched before university but my boyfriend has never seen it, I'm absolutely LOVING getting back into it and experiencing the emotions all over again.
Planning: a summer full of trips and fun with friends - Alton Towers, Brussels, London - I can't wait!
Making: my prints, for lovely customers of my etsy *cough cough* getthatpromo *cough cough*.
Stocking up on: all of the fruit and veggies. I've got a new job and a new busy routine to go with it so I've been feeling a little run down and the best way to tackle that is nutrients!
Wishing for: some more sunshine. The heatwave we had a few weeks back was glorious but it's been frustratingly cold and gloomy since - bring back the sun!
Enjoying: keeping busybusybusy. I never thought I'd say this but balancing three jobs has been the best thing ever, my motivation and energy are seemingly limitless at the moment.
Trying: to get back into my regular gym routine, even at the weekends. I've let it slip the past couple of months so I'm really determined to get back to the gym regularly and get strong.
Eating: our home-cooked meals. We've been really good about cooking hearty, tasty meals lately and although they could do with being a little healthier, I've been really enjoying cooking them.
Goal Setting: I want to reach 50 sales on etsy by the end of the summer, so if you want to help make that goal come true, please consider buying one of my prints.
Learning: maths! That sounds like a strange one but I've recently become a tutor and it's been really eye-opening to see how rusty my maths is and how quickly it's improving.
What's been going on with you lately?
